The leading directories of wholesalers and drop shippers, that is Worldwide Brands and Salehoo, both charge an expensive fee for access to their suppliers.  So it's worth asking if either of them are really worth the money when there are many cheaper, or even free, ways to find wholesale goods online.

The Free Alternatives

First I want to start with some of the cheapest alternatives.  Both Alibaba.com and Ali Express are free marketplaces for wholesalers and drop shippers, and they are among the leading commercial sites on the Internet.  Both offer a huge range of products at wholesale prices, but they do not screen or certify their suppliers like paid directories do, so some suppliers will be unreliable.

Salehoo and Worldwide Brands

Both Salehoo and Worldwide Brands are paid directories, but the price of membership varies significantly.  Worldwide Brands costs $299 for access while Salehoo costs $67, although it must be noted that the fee for Salehoo is paid annually whereas $299 pays for lifetime access to Worldwide Brands.

Both directories have about 8,000 suppliers listed, but Worldwide Brands has by far the most wholesale products on offer at around 16 million in total.  Both offer only certified suppliers, which are guaranteed to be legitimate.

Both Worldwide Brands and Salehoo are useful for those looking to find branded goods and US-based suppliers, but whether or not they are worth the money depends upon whether or not you can afford it.
